Hey there,I’m Tish Nilan, and I know firsthand how demanding and rewarding running a childcarecenter can be.
I've been in the early childhood industry for over 25 years, starting as anafter-school aide in high school, then becoming a teacher, and eventually opening myfirst childcare center at just 23 years old—the first of four programs I built from theground up.
Like you, I’ve always valued my team immensely, but between operations, finances,marketing, enrollment, licensing, and everything else, I found that staff appreciation andtraining often got pushed to the bottom of my to-do list—even though I knew howimportant it was.
That’s exactly why I created TLC for the Teacher.
I wanted a simple, ready-to-use system that would guarantee my amazing team felt valued, appreciated, and supported—without adding extra stress to my plate. And you know what? It worked! A motivated, happy team leads to a positive school environment, lower turnover, and ultimately, more success for everyone.
